Remember how my resolution for 2014 was to blog more often? Well..turns out.... interesting things actually have to happen for you to blog. Nothing so far.
We're just up to our necks with work and school. It gives us less time to spend together, but much more time to watch Netflix. I watched an entire series in less than two weeks (Raising Hope is awesome!). Yea. It's pretty impressive.
I have, however, done pretty well at keeping our apartment clean all the time. I even printed out a helpful checklist.
I just wish we saw each other more. Timmons works really awkward hours on my day off, and when he has time, I am usually at work. We haven't been on a real date in awhile.
It's not all bad though. Timmon's boss changed his schedule so we can go to church together, and they're really good about making sure he isn't overloaded on days where he has class.
Timmons is doing great at his resolution to get good grades. He has all A+'s so far.
As for my work, I was chosen as employee of the month, so I get a pretty sweet parking spot. All in all, I guess I can't really complain.
Life is good......just not super exciting. :)

It Christmas.....It's Christmas Time! : Our First Christmas Together
This Christmas was our first Christmas as a married couple.
Timmons finally got that gun he'd been wanting (along with bullets, a holster and a concealed weapons permit), and I got a purse and a beautiful kitchen aid- I've already made some treats with it.
I was very impressed with Andrew. He picked out an awesome purse. Mine had a broken zipper, so he got one for me that matched my favorite pair of boots.
Look how cute he is...opening his gun and stuff. :)
I was lucky enough to have the day off, so we spent Christmas Eve night at the Timmons' home decorating Gingerbread Cookies and playing games.
Below are the before and after version of our cookie. The lil guy even has a monocle. He has also got his party pants on.
The one on the left was decorated by Rachel and Seth, and the one to the right of ours is by Kody and Lauren. Yea...ours is the coolest...just sayin. ;)
On Christmas morning, we exchanged stockings that we made for each other. Christmas day was spent relaxing, visiting family and playing games. My mom and sister got us a new headbanz game. You have to ask questions to guess what is on your forehead. It's probably the best game ever. So many people were playing at one point that we had to split into two groups to play, and there weren't enough headbanz to go around.
Of course, one of the very best parts of the holiday was reading the story of Jesus's birth, and then later hearing Andrew's Papa's testimony of the gospel.
The holiday season always puts things in perspective. It's a fantastic time to remind ourselves that God, family and friends are truly the most important things.
We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It Christmas.....It's Christmas Time! : Christmas Cookie Edition
This weekend, I baked A LOT of Christmas cookies. I was able to take some to my work Christmas party and give some away. The rest have been almost completely eaten by I made some peanut butter blossoms, chocolate chip cookies and we made cut-out sugar cookies together.
I think we'll probably make this a yearly thing. :)
We got flour everywhere and watched White Christmas as they were baking.
Ain't he cute? Sooo domestic.
My icing turned out a little runny, so we put it in the fridge until we could add more powdered sugar.
We ran out (curse those gingerbread houses!) and since it was Sunday, I decided we could wait until today to frost them.
Timmons, however, decided he could not wait to eat them.
The picture on the left is how many cookies we made...on the right is how many we had in the morning.
The icing had hardened enough to frost, so we frosted a few and dipped some others...
I was a little disappointed because I had bought food coloring to make really pretty cookies with details, and- let's just say- these are not exactly the pieces of art.
They sure are tasty though.
I'll be surprised if there are any left when I get home.
Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

P.S. Most of you know that I write the news. Now my voice is gonna be on the news; tonight! If you live in SE Idaho or western Wyoming it's gonna be on Fox at 9 or CBS at 10. It was for KIDK's 60th anniversary story, and it was pretty fun researching all the stuff KIDK has been through.

It Christmas.....It's Christmas Time! : Gingerbread Edition
It's Christmas time at the Timmon's home and we have been busy! Not only are we still working hard, but we are trying to play hard.
We have decorated for Christmas, trimmed the tree, made a few cookies, watched a few Christmas movies, and jammed to Christmas tunes. Last night we took on the world of gingerbread!
We have everything we need!
After two hours of careful building (no joke), they were done!
Andrew wasn't super pleased with his.

It was cute...if you're an amateur. Let's just say...if this were a contest, I would win. ;)
This one is mine. Notice the intricate work. A wreath. A snowman. Yep. It's awesome.
I even have smoke coming out of the chimney.
We had a lot of fun building them...and a lot of fun eating them.
Six days until Christmas!!! :)
We hope you have a merry one!!!

Happy Thanksgivukkah!
Today was our first Thanksgiving as a married couple. In fact, it was our first Thanksgiving together ever. Last year we had Thanksgiving with our families separately.
We had a pretty chill day. I had to work, but -thanks to football- there was no 5:30 show on my station. That meant that I only had to write one show.
We started the day by driving down to my work together. I organized my show while Timmons met some of my coworkers. After a bit, I finished my outline, and we headed down for Thanksgiving dinner at Andrew's grandparent's house in Pocatello.
His cousin, her family, his grandparents, and parents were all there to celebrate the holiday. Emily and his mom made some friggen fantastic food. Not gonna lie...I kinda wish my stomach could hold more. My mouth wasn't anywhere near finished eating. Yea... imma fattie.
Timmon's grandparents have two dogs, Dory and Max. They are probably the funniest dogs ever. Dory barks when you put your hands in the air and yell 'touch down'. She also sings when you sing 'Happy Birthday.'
After a few hours of festivities, Andrew took me back to work. He even came back to watch my 9 o'clock show....not that he stayed awake. I think it was his full tummy.
This year, I am most thankful for my husband. He is the best husband...probably in the entire world. Maybe the universe. Yea. I'm gonna go with that.
-Mo
P.S. No more catchup posts. I'm all caught up!
P.P.S. This is the only time for the next 74 thousand or so years that the first day of Hanukkah will fall on Thanksgiving. Hence...Happy Thanksgivukkah....and no. We're not Jewish. I just think it's cool. Yea.
Happy Thanksgivukkah Everybody!

Catchup 6: Family
Since it's November, I have been reflecting a lot on the things I am thankful for. One of the biggest things I am thankful for is my family.
We have been able to visit family a lot. We were able to go down to Utah and see my family since they've moved there. We had a nice weekend with everyone and a nice dinner and visit with my grandma.
As you can tell, it was a really relaxing weekend.
We have tons of fun with his side of the family too!
There have been many Sundays where we'll drive down to American Falls for dinner and games. It's the best! Good food, good people and good fun.
What more could you want? -Mo
